How to reach us, and what you can do yourself without waiting for a reply.

Things you can do right now

Most account changes need no one's permission and take effect immediately. Writing to us about these will only be slower.

  • Change your email address, username or password — from your account settings.
  • Add or remove a passkey — from your account settings. Removing one also ends any session that was signed in with it.
  • Sign out everywhere else — your account settings can end every other signed-in session, on every device, at once. Use this first if you think someone else has access.
  • Delete your account — from your account settings. This removes your account and the content attached to it, and cannot be undone. See Data and privacy for exactly what that covers.

Writing to us

Use the form below, or email [email protected] directly if you would rather.

We reply to this address. Give the one your account uses if you are asking about an account.

Tell us which account you are writing about — the email address or username you signed up with. We cannot act on a request about an account we cannot identify, and we will not act on one where we are not reasonably satisfied you are the person whose account it is.

Data requests

To ask for a copy of your data, an export in a machine-readable format, a correction, an objection, or a restriction on how we use your data, write to the address above and say which of those you want. Data and privacy sets out what we hold and what each of those rights means.

Under the UK and EU GDPR we have one month from a request to respond, extendable by two further months for complex requests, in which case we must tell you within the first month. Under the CCPA the period is 45 days, extendable once by a further 45. These are the deadlines the law sets; they apply whatever this page says.

Requests are free. We may charge, or decline, only where a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive — and if we decline we will tell you why, and tell you that you can complain to a supervisory authority.

If you are asking us to delete your account, the settings page does it immediately and you do not need to write to anyone.

Reporting a security problem

If you have found a vulnerability, please write to the address above with “security” in the subject line, and give us enough detail to reproduce it. We would rather hear about it than not.

Please do not access, modify or delete data belonging to anyone else while demonstrating a problem, and please give us a reasonable chance to fix it before publishing. We will not pursue anyone who reports in good faith within those bounds.
